Jim used to sponsor a radio program in Detroit with Crazy Al and Industrial Information Resources. The shows were broadcast worldwide on the internet. Jim would call one of our customers and talk about the repair procedure on air and all the benefits of using Belzona in lieu of welding or replacement.

One of our favorite shows is Rick Craner and Thunder Bay Power in Michigan. Rick’s interview is attached but the highlights are that they were able to salvage a turbine with a broken runner by using Belzona 1311 (Ceramic R-Metal) and then they coated with Belzona 1321 (Ceramic S-Metal) and two coats of Belzona 1341 (Supermetalglide). This repaired turbine has been in service since 2003. But it’s not the three month payback for this project that makes the news. It’s the fact that more electricity can be generated with less water that is of interest with the hydro’s by keeping the water in the reservoir longer.
